Freshman Seminars

If you are a first-year student at UCSB and you'd like the kind of small-class experience normally associated with upper-division or graduate work, try a freshman seminar. These informal seminars, where students often sit down with their professors around a table over a cup of coffee, break down the barriers students sometimes feel when they first arrive on campus.
