The UC Center in Sacramento Program

Are you looking for a way to gain valuable professional experience and, at the same time, receive full academic credit at UCSB? Do you want an opportunity to observe public policy processes firsthand and to gain a wide variety of cultural experiences?

Then consider joining students from other UC campuses in a new, exciting pilot program at the University of California Center in Sacramento (UCCS). This residential program, open to all upper-division students regardless of major, combines research, internship and coursework. Students earn a minimum of 12 units of UCSB course credit while in Sacramento and will be eligible to receive their normal UCSB financial aid.

Application materials are available from the URCA Office (North Hall 2105) or from the UCCS web site, www.ltsc.ucsb.edu/urca/uccs.php. Application deadline for the summer 2005 program has passed, but plan on applying for the winter or spring 2006 terms.

Coffee and Concepts

Imagine college with...

  • No exams.
    • No studying.
      • No prerequisites.
        • No grades.
  • One session, one time, that starts late enough not to set an alarm and ends early enough to make the downtown scene.
  • A chance to sip coffee and explore modern ideas with some of our University's best minds and favorite personalities.
  • The essence of education. The true joy of learning.

Isn't this the college experience you were hoping for?

Join us for COFFEE AND CONCEPTS, an interactive seminar series with UCSB professors, sponsored by the College Honors Program. Don't miss out on an opportunity to meet professors and get a glimpse of what their work is about.

The next Coffee and Concepts will be on Tuesday, May 17th, 5-6:30 p.m., in North Hall 2212. Professor Matthew Hanser will lead a seminar titled "The Morality of War."
