The Pahl "Making a Difference" Award

Established by UCSB alumni, Louise and Stephen Pahl, the "Making a Difference" Award is given annually to honor an upper-division student, preferably a graduating senior in the social sciences, who is involved as a volunteer in community and/or campus-related activities, and who has written a course-related paper which applies learning theories to real-world contemporary issues.
