Kirby-Jones Scholarship
Marvel and Robert Kirby, whose family has long-standing ties to UCSB, generously endowed three scholarships in honor of their granddaughters for students in the College of Letters and Science Honors Program.

Applicants must be students in the College of Letters and Science Honors Program who will have at least 84 units completed by the end of the spring quarter in which they are applying.

Applicants must have been residents of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, or Kern Counties for a majority of their lives and/or have graduated from a high school in one of these counties.

Applicants must be registered full-time students for the entire academic year in for which they apply.
Selection criteria will include GPA, overall academic achievement, and involvement in campus and community activities. Some consideration will be given to financial need, which will be evaluated in consultation with the Office of Financial Aid; however, eligibility for financial is not a criterion for application. The recipients will be announced by the end of spring quarter.

The Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (URCA) web site includes information on various scholarships. URCA also produces Scholarship Alert, a compilation of scholarship information from various sources.
UCSB Alumni Legacy Scholarship
The UCSB Alumni Legacy Scholarship was created to support children, step-children, grandchildren, and/or step-grandchildren of UCSB Alumni Association members through membership dues paid by members of the UCSB Alumni Association. The UCSB Alumni Legacy Scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate a commitment to the excellence of UCSB and the community through academic achievements, leadership and involvement in campus clubs and organizations.

Truman Scholarships
Scholarships to provide college juniors with exceptional leadership potential, who are committed to careers in government, the non-profit or advocacy sectors, education or elsewhere in the public service, with financial support for graduate study, leadership training, and fellowship.
Udall Scholarships
Scholarships of up to $5,000 to American juniors and seniors in fields related to the environment, and to Native American and Alaska Natives in fields related to health care or tribal policy.
